Google?s new Play Market treats Android users, new Angry Birds ?Space? game, new Fruit Ninja update, and the upcoming Temple Run for Android.
Now I know why Google changed the name of the Android Market to ?Google Play,? because this month alone, two big game updates arrived at the market: the new Angry Birds episode named ?Angry Birds Space? and the new update delivered by Fruit Ninja.
Angry Birds Space was launched in Android?s Google Play this week featuring a new gameplay which focuses on ?intergalactic elements? like planets, gravity, gravitational pull and laws of physics.
The rules of the game remain, and birds are used to kill pigs. However, the setting is now somewhere in galaxy where gravity lacks, and you need to master how to take advantage of the gravitational pull of planets.
For example, one of the stages focuses on how to drop the pigs to one of the planets by putting the pig near a ring that indicates the pull of gravity. Birds are also affected by gravity, so be sure to practice more.
Rovio, the maker of the Angry Birds, is selling two ?Space? apps, the free and the paid version. The free is still supported by the battery-sucking ads of Google, while the paid version charges a dollar for each account. For starters, the paid app version does not include ads.
Meanwhile, Fruit Ninja introduces a new update this week which now includes the much awaited ?Pomegranate.? Halfbrick studios also included the multiplayer feature that uses both local and online services.
Lastly, Google Play will welcome a popular game next week that will surely change the Top Free charts of the Market, the Temple Run for Android App. According to Imangi, its highly addictive game will hit the Google Play Market starting on March 27th for free.
Android, according to multiple research firms, is the most popular mobile platform in United States and other countries with more than 40 percent market share.
