SALINE: Business leader earns award at Kettering University

Several Southeast Michigan business leaders, including one from Saline, will be honored Saturday with Kettering University Alumni Awards.

The highlight of Bulldog Days Reunion Weekend at Kettering University is the Alumni Awards dinner, when the Kettering University Alumni Association honors 10 alumni for professional excellence and civic engagement.

Kettering University President Robert McMahan and Alumni Association President Frank Krohn will officiate during the presentations in Flint.

This year?s honorees and their honors:

Raj Nair of Saline, class of 1987 and Ford Motor Co.?s group vice president for global product development, will receive the Management Achievement Award recognizing a specific contribution with a positive and lasting effect in the field of Management.

Diana Tremblay, class of 1982 and vice president of North American manufacturing at General Motors in Warren, will receive the Distinguished Alumna Award recognizing specific and exceptional career achievement, traditionally given to people at the highest level in the corporate structure.

William J. Wildern IV of Farmington Hills, class of 1992 and 1993 and the founder and CEO of Farmington Hills-based HYDRA Professionals LLC and ReapSo LLC, will receive the Entrepreneurial Achievement Award recognizing a specific contribution in organizing, managing and assuming the risk of business or enterprise.

Russell J. Ebeid of Bloomfield Hills, class of 1963 and former president of the Glass Group and chairman of the board of Guardian Industries Corp., will receive the Human Relations Awards recognizing a graduate who has rendered significant contributions inspiring unity at Kettering University.
